I have been following a few blogs that encourage other photographers to get creative in their free time and try to look at taking pictures in a different way. They are continually emphasizing that better equipment will not help you take better pictures, and I agree completely. The gear that you really need is already with you….filling the space between your ears.

A few weekends ago I came across a weekend challenge to take a picture that goes along with the theme “Less is More”. It decided to take on the challenge and use it as an opportunity to take a self portrait that I’ve been thinking about for a while.  The result of what I came up with is below:

I’ve been deliberating what I want to do on this blog. Once I figure that out, I can design what I want the site to look like. If it’s going to be a photography site, then I’ve got a great idea for a design…but if I’m going to put other things on here, then the design I have doesn’t really fit.

Basically, I’m trying to figure out what i want to talk about. I know I want to talk about something…I’m just not sure what that something is. And I don’t want to fall into the habit of just talking about everything…because then I end up only touching on lots of little things instead of delving deep into a few important things.

I love to write, and I really enjoy coming up with new ideas…so I am thinking that is where I’m going to take things.

We’ll see.

Hello, anyone and everyone. I’ve switched over to WordPress and I’m planning on updating this site soon. So, for now you’ll just have to look at this basic post and imagine all that this site can/could/would/should be. I’ve got a lot on my plate right now, but I’d really like to make this site look great and post meaningful content on it.
